Swarms of Starlings pillowcases

Did you ever see the swarms of starlings hoovering over the city or the countryside by sundown?
It's almost like magic, don't you think?!
That was what I was thinking when designing and drawing these pillowcases.

The fabric is woven by the Textile Museum in Tilburg (The Netherlands).

They did a wonderful job with the Eco linen in the almost see through colors we used.
At the Dappermarkt in Amsterdam East side, I found the fabrics for the back of the pillows and
a talented women from my neighborhood (Hanna) put the pieces together with her sewing machine.
